How to get there by Car or Coach

The Metro Radio Arena Newcastle is only 3 minutes from the A1 North - South route. Take the A184 signposted 'City Centre', then follow the A189 over the Redheugh Bridge. When in the vicinity of the Arena, follow the signs to the appropriate car parks.

Public Transport

Take local bus services or the Metro to Central Station and the Arena is approximately 5 minutes walk away. All public travel information is available from the Nexus website or Traveline on 0871 200 22 33.

Arena Event Car Parking

There are over 600 parking spaces available on site that are security patrolled. Alternatively, there are thousands of additional spaces located within 5 minutes walk of the Arena

You may be able to book your car park place when you purchase your event tickets; we have a limited number of discounted spaces available saving £1 on the usual fee, available for certain concerts.

Cars with wheelchair patrons can park at the Arena subject to availability on a first come first served basis. Pre-booking is not available.

Car Park Day Time Season Ticket

Did you know you can purchase season tickets to enable you to park at the Arena during the day while at work? We have some very competitive rates available from one month to a full year, and employers can claim VAT back making it exceptional value. Check out the charges below!

Car Park season tickets are available for our secure CCTV car park as follows:

Annual Day Parking Pass: £275

Annual Renewal: £165

6 Month Parking Pass: £145

6 Month Renewal: £115

3 Month Pass: £85

Month Pass: £49

Week Pass: £14

Day Pass: £4 (not applicable for parking during events, which are charged at a different rate)

Send the completed form into the Arena, marked for the attention of Carrie Marshall, including a cheque for the relevant amount, or call Carrie Marshall at the Arena on 0844 493 4567; alternatively pay at the security entrance (rear of Arena).

Dropping Off & Picking Up

Dropping off can be made along Railway Street. You are advised to collect people from an area away from the Arena as it is likely that you will become involved in heavy traffic.

Taxis

Taxis can pick up on Railway Street/Arena Way before and after events. There is also a taxi rank at Central Station.
